• CHRISTMAS RAFFLE
  • There are 38 prizes worth over £350 to be won, including the Luxury Christmas Hamper, Whisky, Chocolates, Wines and lots more.
  • The Raffle will be drawn on Zoom on Tuesday 1st December and the result sent by email or phone.
  • If you have not sent your tickets in yet, you have a week to do so.

• LONELINESS
  • The Red Cross have a new set of resources to help you tackle loneliness during the pandemic. Click on the link below to discover their ideas

• CLASSES / WALKS
  • The current Lockdown legally finishes on 2 December. The Government has hinted that we will then return to a stronger Tier System.
  • If we return to similar to the previous Tier 2, then we can reopen classes and walks, subject to any revised guidelines
  • If we enter a Tier 3, similar to the previous one, then we will not be able to reopen classes or walks.
  • As soon as the Government announces what is happening in Calderdale the Trustees will meet and will decide what we are able to do.
  • If we cannot reopen classes then we may continue with the Zoom classes until the closure on Thursday 17th December.
  • Current classes are:
    • There will be Zoom Tai Chi Classes by Yvonne on Tuesdays at 10:00am
    • There will be Zoom Exercise Classes by Angela on Tuesday at 6:30pm and at 10:00am on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • Members should pay HEARTBEAT for their classes at the usual rate of &pind;2.50 per class.

• CORONAVIRUS IN CALDERDALE
  • We have gone from being in the bottom 10% in Wave 1 to being in the top 10% in Wave 2.
  • 486 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week 6 November to 12 November. The average area in England had 221.
  • 1,027 cases in the latest week 6 November to 12 November
  • +128 compared with the previous week
  • 6,839 total cases in this year to 16 November
  • 146 coronavirus-related deaths registered to 30 October
